I am interested in learning experiences of people in relation to their social networks and environment. How are our learning biographies influenced by people, books, trips, movies, education experiences we have encountered?
I like
analysing and linking different perspectives and 'worlds'.
I flourish together with energetic people in creating something new
(pioneer, interim), crossing borderlines to give people a better way of
learning, working, living.
My focus
was on stories of younger generations who create an authentic
life course and work their way through knowledge society:
so-called new learners.
From this perspective I look, for example, at educational reforms and experiences of
students and teachers.
This resulted in other projects: I look at the link between life stories
and learning / professionalisation of different generations (especially
teachers) to discover new, multidisciplinary insights.
I process this kind of stories in scientific
publications and lectures.
Moreover, these stories feed
my own learning experiences and are an
inspiration for projects
in the domain of fiction.
